CompassData, Inc. was established by Margaret J. Howard, W. Brant Howard, in Centennial, Colorado, 1994. It is part of the CompassCom company family. As a small, woman-owned business, we were established in November 2003.
Mrs. Howard is the “Control Freak” who has led CompassData to collect over 60,000 Ground Control Points on six of the seven continents. We don’t have Antarctica…. Yet! CompassData is proud to offer the industry’s largest commercially available archive of Ground Control Points around the world! CompassData has worked with geospatial professionals in many industries and with our aerial experience and knowledge base for accuracy CompassData was led into the UAV business as well. CompassData established CompassDrone in 2016 to provide our clients with the best mapping drone solutions available.
We are experts in the collection of high-quality, spatially accurate data for Geographic Information Systems (GIS), photogrammetry and remotely sensed data. We use the most recent in Global Positioning System technology (GNSS) and years of field experience to ensure the accuracy of our data.
